Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
1. Acceptance of the terms
By creating an account, installing LoopIn, or otherwise using the LoopIn app or this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use LoopIn.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding agreement to use LoopIn, and you must comply with any minimum age requirement set by your app store and applicable law in your location. LoopIn is not directed at young children.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you add to your profile, for keeping your device secure, and for the activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Usernames and public profiles
Some parts of LoopIn, such as hosting a public walk, may display a display name, username, or profile photo to other users. Do not choose a username that impersonates another person or brand, or that is misleading, offensive, or infringes someone else’s rights. We may ask you to change a username that violates these terms.
5. Public and private walking events
LoopIn lets you organize a walk for your private Circle, or post a walk to Discover so nearby users can find it. Public walks are visible to other LoopIn users; Circle-only walks are visible on the map for context but are only joinable by people already in that Circle. You choose which type of walk you create or join.
6. Host and participant responsibilities
Hosting a walk means agreeing to show up at the stated time and place, and being reasonably clear about the route, pace, and any requirements you set, such as requiring approval to join or setting a participant limit. Joining a walk means agreeing to show up if you’re able to, and to communicate if your plans change. LoopIn does not supervise walks, verify hosts’ identities beyond what is described in this policy, or guarantee that any walk will occur as planned.
7. Acceptable use
When using LoopIn, you agree not to: harass, threaten, or endanger other users; post false, misleading, or fraudulent walk listings; use the app to advertise unrelated products or services; attempt to access another user’s account; or interfere with the normal operation of the app or its underlying services.
8. Community safety
LoopIn provides tools to report a walk or block a host so you no longer see their listings. Reports are reviewed by us and are not shown to other users. LoopIn is a small app and does not currently operate a staffed, around-the-clock moderation team; for anything urgent or unsafe happening in person, contact local emergency services directly rather than relying on in-app reporting.
9. Location and route information
To show nearby walks, draw walking routes, and let you post a walk, LoopIn uses location information you choose to share and location details you or a host enter for a walk. Circle-only walks are shown to non-members at an approximate location only; exact meeting points for a walk you have not joined may not be shown. You are responsible for using good judgment about what location information you share, especially for a walk you host.
10. Health and activity information
LoopIn may estimate distance, pace, or duration from your device or from Apple Health, if you choose to connect it. These figures are estimates and can be inaccurate. LoopIn is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice; talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing any physical activity, especially if you have a health condition.
11. Third-party services
LoopIn relies on third-party services to operate, including Apple’s CloudKit for sync and Discover, Apple Maps for routes and location search, and the Apple App Store or Google Play for distribution and billing. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies.
12. Intellectual property
LoopIn’s name, logo, and app design are owned by us or our licensors and may not be used without permission. You keep ownership of the content you post, such as a walk description, and you grant us the license needed to display it to other users as part of operating the app.
13. Event cancellations and availability
Hosts may cancel or change a walk, and participants may leave a walk, at any time before it starts. LoopIn does not guarantee that a listed walk will happen, that a waitlist spot will open up, or that a join request will be approved.
14. Disclaimers
LoopIn is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Walking outdoors and meeting other people carries inherent risk, and you use LoopIn and attend any walk at your own risk.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoopIn and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, participation in a walk, or interaction with another user, including damages arising from a host’s or participant’s conduct.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to LoopIn for a user who violates these terms, endangers other users, or misuses the reporting or blocking tools. You may stop using LoopIn and delete your account at any time.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as LoopIn’s features change. If we make a material change, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app.
18. Governing law
[Placeholder: the governing law and jurisdiction for these terms should be specified here once determined with legal counsel.]
19. Contact information
